Well, after three years, I'm finally closing down Furfags.

Quite honestly, there just isn't any life in it anymore. It started off great - and I'm glad it lasted as long as it did. It's been quite a trip between this site and I, and it taught me just about everything I know regarding the internet, FTP, HTML and inspired me to pick up and learn Flash and PHP. Quite frankly, I'm just not intrested in trying to keep the site alive. It's worked a little over it's life span, but never did we really reach a popularity worth mentioning. Yeah, being popular isn't all that matters, but really, after three years, it never extended past me and a few friends as users. It's been kicking it's legs and waving it's arms for all that time, trying to attract people. I've poured about 200$ in hosting fees, 18$ in domain name fees and probably about another 200$ in advertising - it doesn't sound like a lot, but hey, that's money I can put towards my other projects that might actually have a chance at living.

To all the members that stuck it out through all this time, thanks for being there. A BIG shoutout to Zielvos - you've been on Furfags and helped it along since the days it was still called Lazerzero. You guys made Furfags what it was, and I'm sorry I couldn't have made it better or more popular than a place for a few friends to fart around on line and piss time away. I tried many times, and failed, to make Furfags something more than it was.

I'll allow the site to just expire on it's own, which will be November 26th, 2009. I need to keep Furfags up till then, as my "main" e-mail account is hosted here and almost my entire online life is connected to it. 11/26/09 will be Furfags' final day online.

I'm sad to see it go, but everything comes to an end. I know most people will read this and go "oh, another shitty website that went down the e-tubes and will never be remembered or cared about again" - but hey, I started this site when I was 14, and I was proud of it. Countless hours went into this thing, and that's what makes it important to me. Will anyone look back on this site and go "oh, man, I remember Furfags like it was yesterday!"? No. Probably not. But hey, it was a phase of my life and I was proud of it.

For those that still use it around the world, yes, www.lawlandorder.com will be closing along with Furfags.

I had several people intrested in the Winfuzz MUCK that I had put into planning stages - I probably won't be returning to it, but if someone bothers me enough I might go back to it. Who knows?
